PPC 2014 Player of the year John Ott & top 50 standings

The 2014 PPC Poker Tour Season 2 race saw a few lead changes.  Parry Shaw took the lead into the PPC Aruba World Championship series, but the race was wide open, with many competitors within striking distance.  Most notably were John Ott and Tim Shortell.  With the results of the PPC Aruba Main Event, John Ott had wrestled the lead from Parry, and saw Tim move into 3rd place.  But, the $350 buy-in black chip bounty Event #9 remained and featured a final table with the top 3 all making it there from a field of 59 players.  Parry was the first to be eliminated from contention with a 9th place finish.  Tim needed to win and have John finish out of the money in 7th or 8th place.  But, John not only cashed, he took second place in a chip chop three-handed.

The race was great and is now back underway.  For the most up-to-date standings, go to the POY tab above and look there for all your results!
